Svenningsson wins! Petersen, Diederiks 2nd at Ironman African Championships

Rasmus Svenningsson, a deboer sponsored athlete, pulled off an incredible performance to win the 2024 IRONMAN South Africa race. Svenningsson, who is currently ranked PTO World #527, was the lowest ranked athlete to win a professional race this season. Mathias Petersen, another deboer sponsored athlete, finished second, +10:58 behind Svenningsson. In the women's race, deboer athlete Diede Diederiks finished second, securing her spot for the IRONMAN World Championship in Nice. Another deboer athlete, Marlene de Boer, finished fourth. The race was won by Marta Sanchez, who led for most of the race and took her first full distance win.
