The Dressel Speed 1.0 is here
Introducing the Dressel Speed 1.0
There are a lot of racing suits in swimming. Very few are built from the inside out.
The Dressel Speed 1.0 is different. Not because it carries the name of Caeleb Dressel, but because it was shaped by his experience. Every practice, every race, every moment where performance comes down to fractions of a second.
This wasn’t a collaboration in the traditional sense. It was a process grounded in feel, feedback, and an uncompromising standard for what a suit should do when it matters most.
“This suit is a product of everything I’ve learned in the water,” Caeleb said. “Every detail matters at this level, and I wanted to create something that truly responds to how athletes move, fatigue, and perform under pressure.”
Built From Experience, Not Assumption
At the highest level of the sport, nothing is theoretical. You either feel it, or you don’t.
Every decision to create the Speed 1.0, every seam, panel, and shift in compression was tested against real-world performance. Not only for how it looks and measures, but how it responds when your body is under stress.
Working alongside deboer’s engineering team, Dressel helped shape a suit that doesn’t just support the swimmer, it works with them.
What Makes It Different?
The Speed 1.0 introduces a set of performance-driven innovations designed to hold form when it matters most:
- A slightly elevated waist to enhance core stability through all phases of the race
- Strategic hamstring taping to maintain leg position as fatigue sets in
- Precision paneling engineered for what we call flexible rigidity—a structure that moves with the body, then snaps back into optimal position
.
This isn’t about over-engineering. It’s about precision.
This Is Just the Beginning
The Speed 1.0 isn’t a one-off release. It’s the foundation of something bigger.
This launch marks the beginning of the Dressel line. A system that will continue to evolve throughout 2026. Next comes the Dressel Mix 1.0, offering an alternate panel construction, followed by a limited training collection designed with the same philosophy: performance, without compromise.
As deboer co-founder David Greenstein puts it:
"We are building a platform where athlete insight drives innovation. Caeleb’s involvement shows what’s possible when performance is led by the athlete, not adapted to them.”
