Description

the Fjord 5.0 represents the next evolution of deboer’s flagship wetsuit, refining body position, flexibility, and hydrodynamic efficiency to help athletes move through the water with less resistance and greater control. building on the proven performance of the Fjord 4.0, the Fjord 5.0 introduces strategic changes to panel construction, buoyancy distribution, and fit, all designed around one goal: making you faster in the water.

at the upper body, the Fjord 5.0 features an improved single-panel upper arm construction, moving the seam to the outside of the arm where stretch is minimized while swimming. the chest has also been divided into four strategically engineered quadrants with varying panel thicknesses, allowing the suit to move more naturally with the body and promote easier, less restricted breathing.

a redesigned lower arm panel refines neoprene thickness through the forearm to provide a more powerful connection with the water. combined with deboer’s highly flexible upper-body construction, the Fjord 5.0 is designed to deliver freedom through the recovery while maintaining a strong, connected feel throughout the pull.

the Fjord 5.0 also introduces a lower center of gravity and redesigned buoyancy profile. changes to the side flotation panels help optimize the swimmer's position in the water, reducing unnecessary stress while improving stability and durability. new thigh panels further fine-tune overall buoyancy by varying panel thickness throughout the lower body, helping create a more efficient swimming position and reducing drag.

a new stretchable zipper system has been developed to improve both comfort and mobility. the flexible construction provides greater freedom of movement through the back while reducing water intrusion and making the Fjord 5.0 easier to put on and remove.

the suit is finished with deboer’s proprietary X-Skin surface technology, engineered to reduce surface drag and improve the way water moves across the wetsuit.

developed through research, testing, and continuous refinement, the Fjord 5.0 takes the foundation of the Fjord 4.0 and improves how the wetsuit interacts with the athlete from shoulder to thigh. the result is a wetsuit designed to deliver better body position, greater freedom of movement, improved comfort, and uncompromising speed.

              get the fit right.

a wetsuit should feel snug on land and it eases the moment you're in the water. any looseness becomes a fold, and every fold scoops water and adds drag.

not sure on size? our fit team will confirm it from two photos before your first swim.

The moment you push off, the suit disappears. That's the whole point.
